Transfer files from pc to your android using Xender

How To Transfer Files Between PC And Your Android Device With Xender

We all know that sharing files from phone to computer can be very possible with the use of Bluetooth and USB data cable.

Now, what if all the USB ports on the PC are currently in use, or there is no USB cable close by. Or what if that PC is not Bluetooth enabled? That is the main reason i wrote this post because am going to introduce a third option that is even faster than Bluetooth and because it is a wireless method, it is more convenient than USB.

It makes use of a Wi-Fi, Actually your PC and Android will have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. There are alot of apps that does this but we are going to using Xender.

How You Can Transfer Files Between PC and Android Using Xender

1. On the PC, switch on Wi-Fi then start a hosted Wi-Fi network and connect your Android to the network.

2. Next, On your phone open up the Xender. Setup your profile if you have not already done so. Tap the More button and then Connect to PC.

3. Still on Xender, You will be shown a URL and a verification code. Launch any browser on PC and enter them as indicated. Just as I said before, you can transfer/exchange between the two devices be it an image, video, pdf, or even a full folder.

4. To download files from the phone to PC, select the files (Ctrl + Click to select multiple files) and click the Download icon on the right of the screen.

NOTE: Remember that multiple files and folders will be auto-zipped prior downloading.

To upload files from Pc to the Android, navigate to the folder where you want to save the file and click the Upload icon. Next, click the Upload button from the pop-up window, navigate to the file and upload it. - See more at: http://realwaparz.com/forum2_theme_110923625.xhtml?tema=3111#sthash.YnGV2uWf.dpuf

Airtel 100naira for 1gb

It will be so annoying when seeing someone close to you paying less and enjoying better browsing during the weekend, while you are paying higher before you can enjoy better surfing. The Airtel weekend plan is one of the best plan ever and every internet surfer need to flex with it. But the plan was limited to the small number of Airtel SIMs, which cause headache for lost people who are not yet enjoying the plan. I have 7 Airtel SIMs before the plan show-up, when I tested my SIMs, none of them works for the plan.

How Shelaf Got 5 different Airtel Weekend Supported SIMs
I went to a junction close to my area where Airtel Sim sellers are many there. I told 2 of Airtel SIMs seller there that I'm looking for Airtel Sim that will give me access to use the Airtel weekend plan. I ask for the permission of testing their selling SIMs and my permission was granted.

We started putting those SIMs on phone for testing, by dialing *474*1#. We tested like 15 different SIMs before we detect one supported Sim. It was there I discovered how the kit of Airtel compatible SIMs looks like. I went home with 5 different Airtel SIMs that support weekend plan and I wasn't stressed again before I got the rest 4 supported SIMs, since I have recognized the kit of supported SIMs among the rest.

There are many types of Airtel SIMs on the market that are available for sale. See the sample of them below.

Below are the Sim kit pictures of the one that work best.
First SideSecond Side (Important to Note)At its first side, "Smart Connect" was boldly written there, and it was designed with white color, see the above image for proper recognition.

At its second side, almost full with Airtel Red color, white color at the bottom, and white tinny color at its vertical left side.

How to Test the SIMs
1. Whether registered or non registered Sim. Just put it in any phone.
2. Dial *474*1#

If it is supported sim,  you will see a message like insufficient balance to activate the plan.
If not, you will see a message that - You are not qualified for this offer.

Note: Not all sellers will allow testing before buying the SIM. Just make sure it is Smart Connect new SIM and take note of that tinny white color in vertical, it's very necessary. The one with that tinny with color in vertical work best. - See more at: http://www.shelaf.com/2015/11/airtel-1gb-for-n100-hints-to-get.html?m=1#sthash.EvqObufn.dpuf

Android smartphones with the best battery life

By what criteria do you judge a smartphone? Camera specs? Processing power? Water resistance, perhaps? For many people, the battery life is the single most important consideration. Even in 2015, if a device lasts more than a day before running out of juice, it is doing well. All the devices in this list pass that test with flying colors, so scroll on down to see our picks for the Android smartphones with the best battery life.

Xiaomi Mi 4c

Packing a significant 3,080-mAh battery, the Mi 4c looks great on paper, and, thanks to complimentary software and hardware optimization, it outperforms the competition in its price range. It easily lasts a day, and could stretch to two if you're not a heavy user.
Its longevity is furthered by the device's low-resolution display and high-end processor. Additionally, it is one of an increasing number of devices to feature USB Type-C, so it gets juiced up at lightning speed.

HTC One M9

At 2840 mAh, the HTC One M9 battery is only marginally bigger than the HTC One M8's. You'd think this would be a problem considering the One M9 is running a powerful Snapdragon 810 octa-core chipset. However, the big.LITTLE technology in the processor has paid off, as the One M9 battery manages to just outperform its predecessor.
Under extreme duress, like constant video-watching, the One M9 battery lasts around 13 hours, which is a decent run. However, no one in their right mind would watch a video for 13 hours straight (if you do, remember to take regular breaks), and ordinary users can expect well over a day's use out of it before needing to recharge. Another big plus with the One M9 battery is the quick-charging feature, which charges your battery around 40 percent in just half an hour (annoyingly, the fast-charging cable is not included in the box).

OnePlus One

There are plenty of things to like about the OnePlus One - its rebellious Cyanogen OS (and now also OxygenOS), its big screen, low asking price, and, of course, its powerful 3100-mAh battery. With its Snapdragon 801 quad-core chipset, big display and 3GB RAM, there's a fair old bit to keep powered in the OnePlus One too.
The OnePlus One battery handles over 13 hours of heavy usage, including constantly on internet, regular phone calls and some video viewing. For a moderate user, this converts to about one and a half day's use.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

The Galaxy Note 5 remains one of the best phones money can buy, largely thanks to its fantastic camera, big and bright 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, and S-Pen stylus features that make it truly unique among phones and phablets.
All these impressive features run smoothly thanks to the Note 5's Exynos 7420 octa-core chipset, which is in turn kept alive by a 3,000-mAh battery. This is slightly smaller than its predecessor's, the Note 4, but it still performs excellently.
If you're a moderate to heavy smartphone user, then you should have around 30 percent battery remaining by the end of the day, and it should see you several hours into the next day as well. The Note 4 also comes with a fast-charging feature, which can charge up to half your battery within about 30 minutes.
We're just disappointed that Samsung failed to follow the Note 4 and 5's great battery performance through to the otherwise brilliant Galaxy S6.

HTC One M8

The HTC One M8 has gathered a fair share of supporters in the Android universe, and for many this is due to its laudable battery life. While it doesn't reach the level of the LG G3, and has lower specs, overall the HTC One (M8) is still one of the better devices on Android for battery performance.
The 2,600-mAh battery powers a 5-inch Full-HD display and Snapdragon 801 processor. This Snapdragon processor has received a small, but significant, improvement over the previous version in terms of power consumption, and this is one of the keys to improving battery life. During normal use, you will easily find the HTC One (M8) lasting more than a day.

Samsung Galaxy S5

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is strong performer in a number of areas, not least in the battery department. For a start, the Galaxy S5 battery is removable, unlike some of the others on our list, meaning you can carry around a spare and swap them if necessary.
Another interesting aspect of the Galaxy S5's 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display, which has the advantage of consuming less battery than competing displays. Finally, the Galaxy S5 comes with a number of unique-to-Samsung power-saving modes like Ultra Power Saving which can help add precious hours, or even days, to the Galaxy S5 battery. Samsung even pulled a publicity stunt with a week-long, cross-country road trip on a single charge.

Sony Xperia Z3

The Sony Xperia Z3 has a battery capacity of 3,000 mAh, curiously lower than that of the older Xperia Z2. The key, however, is in how Sony has optimized the Xperia Z3's hardware. The Xperia Z3 is another smartphone in the 2-day battery life camp, often capable of hitting this benchmark with juice left in the tank. Unfortunately, Sony's omnibalance design means that, although the Xperia Z3 is water resistant, its battery is not removable. We also can't comment on how the Xperia Z3 battery will perform with the PS4 Remote Play feature. Nonetheless, it's still one of the best performing batteries for the specs it houses, with 3 GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 processor, and 5.2-inch full-HD screen.

Huawei Ascend Mate 7

The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 has one of the largest batteries on the market at a huge 4,100 mAh. The giant battery is necessary, though, to power this Chinese phablet's mammoth 6-inch Full-HD screen and octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 925 processor. Despite the big specs, the device will last for about two days with normal use if it is helped along by its power-saving modes (Smart or Ultra).

How to fix a water damaged phone in 10 easy steps

So you've dropped your smartphone into the toilet, sink or pool. Don't panic! If you act fast you can prevent your smartphone from becoming water damaged without spending a penny. Here are 10 simple steps to fix a phone dropped in water.

Remove the phone from the water as quickly as possible. The longer it stays there, the more water or liquid will seep through the cracks and openings of your phone. Once it's out of the water, there are certain things you need to do right away, and certain things you should absolutely avoid doing in order to prevent water damage.

What not to do

  • Do not turn it on
  • Do not press any buttons or keys (unless this is to immediately switch off the phone. See below)
  • Do not shake, tap or bang the phone
  • Do not take the phone apart. Your device comes with a Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI) which, when activated, could void your warranty, and this could be triggered when you open your phone. Only take it apart if you absolutely need to and you have experience
  • Do not blow on it. This could send water into other internal parts of the phone that it hadn't already reached, causing more damage in the process
  • Do not heat it up (that includes using a blow dryer or microwaving it)
  • Do not cool it down (that includes sticking it in the freezer)

10 steps to save your water damaged phone

1. Turn it off if, it isn’t already, and do so quickly.
2. Remove any protective casing and, if your phone has them, remove your SIM and microSD cards from their slots.
3. Open up the back and remove the battery, SIM card(s) and microSD card if you are able to (note that this won't be possible with all phone models).

4. Use a cloth, sleeve or paper towel to dab your phone dry. Avoid spreading the liquid around, because that could push it into more of the phone's openings. Just soak up as much as possible.
5. If the water damage is more extensive, you can use a vacuum to carefully suck out water stuck from the cracks that are harder to get at. Make sure any small parts, such as the microSD card, SIM card, or battery, are out of the way before attempting this.
6. Bury the phone in a ziplock bag full of uncooked rice. Rice is great for absorbing liquid and this is actually a common method for drying smartphones and tablets. You can also buy dedicated phone drying pouches, which are worth having in reserve if you're a clumsy type. Don't wait to get hold of one if you don't already have one to hand though – get your phone in the rice!

7. Let your phone dry for a day or two. Do not be tempted to switch it on see if it still works. Put your SIM card in an old phone, or ask a friend or family if they have a spare that you can borrow.
8. After a couple of days, you can remove the phone from the rice back, insert the battery into the phone and switch the phone on.
9. If your phone doesn't turn on, try charging it. If it doesn't charge, the battery may be damaged. You could try a replacement battery, or consider taking your smartphone to a repair shop to be checked by a professional.
10. If your phone has turned on and it is running as it should, you should still keep a close eye on it for the next few days, to see if you notice anything out of the ordinary. Play some music to check the speakers and ensure the touch screen still responds as it should.
In the future, avoid taking the phone with you when you go to the pool, use the bathroom or do the dishes.

Water resistant cases

Hopefully these steps have helped your rescue your phone from an untimely death by drowning. If you want to protect your phone from water in future, you can also purchase a waterproof phone case. There are some good options available from brands such as Otterbox, Griffin Survivor and Catalyst.

Water resistant phones

A number of phones are advertised as "water-resistant". Be aware that when phone manufacturers say this, it only applies under a special set of circumstances. A phone's resistance to water often depends on the clarity of the water, the depth of submersion, and the length of time for which it is submerged. We wouldn't advise submerging any smartphone in water unless it is absolutely necessary.

Best custom ROMs for Android: 5 awesome UIs to make your smartphone even better

CyanogenMod 12 - stable, stylish, with frequent updates

CyanogenMod is one of the most well-supported ROMs for Android, with a huge community, and frequent updates. It’s no wonder that this popular Android ROM even managed to find a home on last year's OnePlus One
Features of CyanogenMod include its unique app launcher entitled Trebuchet, personal themes, video screenshots via its Screencast functionality, and a mode specifically for left-handed landscape viewing. CyanogenMod currently supports more than 50 devices and the team are hard at work on a Marshmallow build.

PAC-ROM

PAC-ROM touts itself as the all-in-one ROM solution. The team shamelessly cherry picks features from the other ROMs listed on this page, including OmniSwitch and CyanogenMod's Pie controls, and puts them all together in their own package.
It might seem lacking in personality, or overkill, but if you're looking for the most customizable, option-rich ROM, then this is it. And wait until you see the boot animation — the team deserves some points for that alone.
With nightly builds and well over 50 devices supported, it's a great package. Learn all about it at PAC-ROM.com

Paranoid Android - Stock Android with subtle changes

The first appearance of the Paranoid Android Custom ROM dates back to early 2013 and Android Jelly Bean. The Paranoid Android ROM doesn't provide a radical design overhaul, but focuses on a number of simple but effective changes to notifications and navigation.
Immersive mode allows you to view information on screen while hiding system bars, and 'dynamic system bars' blend your status and navigation bar color with the particular app background. It's purely aesthetic, but provides a nice transition.
Early in 2015, OnePlus hired a number of key members of the Paranoid Android team. The project subsequently went into deep hibernation, with one developer announcing its passing and another refuting it. Whether the project has the energy to be resurrected remains to be seen.
Paranoid Android is available for a whole range of devices including the Nexus line and the OnePlus One. To learn more, visit ParanoidAndroid.co.

OmniROM - for the OmniSwitch toolbar

Designed by former CyanogenMod devs (Xplodwild, Chainfire, Dees_Troy, Pulser and Entropy) in late 2013, OmniROM is a no-frills ROM, which basically offers the Stock Android experience with some nice extras.
OmniROM supports the ability to launch apps by tapping on the time and date in the notifications menu, it can add a notification counter in the status bar to show the number notifications you've received, and has the ability to manage the display brightness just by sliding your finger along the notifications bar.
OmniROM's standout feature, however, is the OmniSwitch shortcut. The OmniSwitch is a quick-menu that you can load with shortcuts and jump from any part of your phone to any app, or vice versa, and it is completely customizable.
Lollipop nightlies for OmniROM started back in June. Head to OmniROM.org for more.

SlimROMs - bloatless but feature-rich

SlimROMs made a name for itself by offering a completely stripped down version of Android and letting you determine exactly how much of the Google Play services you want bundled in. Otherwise, SlimROMs is characterized by the ability to modify the DPI of fonts and icons and make everything as tiny as you need it to be. The Slim family currently supports almost 50 devices.
An alpha Android Lollipop build is out, but things are moving slowly at the SlimROM camp and updates are currently infrequent at best. Find out more at slimroms.net.

AOKP - for complete control and tons of customization options

Android Open Kang Project, or AOKP, is aimed at serious Android modders, and those with good level of technical know-how. Released in September 2013, AOKP is now compatible with dozens of Android devices, and houses a number of interesting features, like the ability to customize shortcuts in the Quick settings menu, and manage the color and blink rate of the LED notifications in several applications.
Additionally, this ROM also includes a feature called Navigation ring, which acts an an intuitive shortcut for up to five apps. As if that wasn't enough, there is also application permissions management and the ability to adjust processor performance, making this one of the most interesting Custom ROMs on android.
Stable releases are few and far between. After a break from October last year, a post on the AOKP website in March revealed that work would soon be starting on 'proper' Lollipop builds, but things have remained quiet since then. We'll be keeping an eye on this one. To learn more, visit AOKP.co.

The custom ROM database

This list is by no means exhaustive and you might want to do a little more research into other custom ROMs that are currently available. Thankfully, the fine ladies and gents over at the XDA Developers Forum have put together a custom ROM database that compares all the features of the major custom ROMs at a glance. It's a great resource. The page was down at the time of writing, but keep an eye on it, as it may well be back up soon.

How to make money with your android

Making money online is one thing that so many
internet users want to do at one time of the other. Or
who don’t want to make so extra cash? Many articles
had been written in the past on how to make money
online but they are mostly focused on the use of
computer systems to access the internet and make
money than the use of mobile devices. It is therefore
important to discuss how to make money online using
smartphones as the primary tool for online jobs. The
internet is now been accessed more through the use
of mobile devices than the regular computer system.
According to a report released in the year 2014, about
60 percent of all internet connection is done over
mobile devices. This is a reflection of the improved
capabilities of the mobile devices like smartphones,
phablets and tablets. Personally, I believe the
emergence of Android and Apple IOS are contributing
to the increased use of mobile devices over personal
computers.
Making money online is not as easy as most people
want it to be. So many internet users believe that with
the correct secret, you can begin to earn top dollar
with little or no hard work. I am sorry, but I am yet to
have access to such secrets. The only secret I have
been able to discover involves the hard work and
dedication of the course. Once the mind is set to work
hard, there are numerous ways whereby you can earn
online using your mobile devices.
The 4 Ways Of Making Money Online As A
Student With Android Phone:
1. Blogging Blogging is one of the sure paths to making real
wealth from the internment. I use the word “wealth”
because blogging can bring you great riches. The two
major blogging platforms available at the moment are;
wordpress and blogspot. You can download the
android application for both from the Google Play
Store. I have used both on my smart phone and with a
few trick; you can get almost all your blogging jobs
done over the two mobile applications.
Blogging has become harder to monetize with the
popular Google Adsense and if you are playing for it, I
will advise you to get ready for a hard journey ahead.
You can check back for my article on how I blog using
my android smart phone alone.
2. Android Application Development Most people are not aware that they can quickly and
easily build a simple Android application. They usually
felt it takes rocket science to build an application for
their Android smart phone. You can build a website
based application in less than 2 hours. I build the
GSMGist Android application in less than one hour “
you can download it here”. Or build one from
Appsgeyser if you have a website or a blog too. You
can make money by placing your finished application
of Google Play Store, Amazon App Store or even on
the Appsgeyser market. You can sell you application
or make money by running advertisement on the
application using Admob or any other mobile ad
services.
3. Freelance Jobs This is the most popular means of making money
from the internet. A lot of websites make available
jobs you can do to earn a token into your account.
The jobs come in various forms like filling a form,
registering on a website, writing an article or even
interpreting website content into another language. A
good and reliable example is microworker but you can
check online for other sites. Payments are mostly
small but when accumulated for a period, it becomes
something of significance. You can collect your
earnings through popular online payment platforms.
Apart from having mobile sites, which you can access
on your smartphones, you can access the standard
website using a very good mobile browser on your
smart phone.
4. Social Media Promotion You sometimes wonder why somebody you know is
building up his number of friends on Facebook or
doing everything to increase his followers on twitter. It
is mostly based on the desire to engage in social
media promotions. A lot of media organizations are
ready to pay you to use your social media accounts to
send out their messages. Like an endo
